Hi,

I am using exception event in my task from exception tab in the properties of task its has three options 1. recevice msg 2. timer and 3. rule. In the rule I am testing a simple condition of a variable for eg: A=1 if this condition satisfies with the value given in the form then it should throw an exception and go the task attached to exception event and if the condition fails it should end the process. but When I try to do this process is straight away ends irrespective of the condition but when I place the value of the variable in process variable it straight away goes to the exception flow without entering the task in which the exception event is defined. I am not able to rectify the issue it will be a great help if anybody could help me out. Thanks in advance...

When is the value from the form taken? All events configured within an activity are evaluated before it is executed.

Thanks tim for your reply actually my req. is that I enter the values in the form and that values need to be validated in the exception event is this possible because as per my knowledge exception event only taks the process varaibles and process variable values are updated only when the form is submitted
