I want to provide the document editing option in Appian i.e. during process if a person views the uploaded document and if he changes something and saves it, it should be saved in the appian location where that document was....

Hi Swatis..It is stored in the Documents>>System Knowledge center>> under a particular given folder name that you specify in browse button "save in folder option".

The end user usually does not have that Documents/KC access.
The application should provide a way to download, edit and upload the file again as a new version. Have direct KC access means end users having /designer access.
