Hi All,
We have a requirement to add Google Captcha on the Appian login screen to prevent the bot attacks and brute force attacks. We are in Appain 20.1 and on-premise environment.
We tried to alter the login.jsp and we did no succeed. Has anyone have achieved the same?
Thanks,
Wifay.

I'm assuming you are using the default Appian authentication (username + password)? If yes, then no it isn't possible to add a Captcha onto the Appian login screen. However, could you use SAML instead? SAML will redirect users to your IDP, and you could presumably configure a Captcha on your IDP if you like. Then, when the user is authenticated in the IDP, they would be redirected to Appian and automatically logged in.
Hello Peter,
Yes. We are using default Appian authentication. For the internal organization employees, we can use SAML and we are planning to do that.
But in our case, Appian will be public facing and can be accessed by any person. Could you please share best approach to authenticate thousands of external users?
