Hi Pradeep,
I tried out your use case, it is working fine for me. Can I know which Version of Appian are you using?

If you use a SAIL form you can use custom validation. Else you might have to do the validation in the process model and go back to the form and show an error message.

Inaddition to Shezle comments, If your application is tempo-enabled you can use regexmatch(" ",ri!input) to avoid a space otherwise you can handle this through java script also.
