Hello, I have a requirement where i need to show a pop up warning message when user accidentally clicks on Summary tab when actually they are in Related Actions tab performing some operation (e.g. updating).
Discussion posts and replies are publicly visible
It should do this automatically. Suppose you go to a related action and begin to edit the form, and then you click on the summary view. You should see a browser popup that says "Are you sure you want to leave?"
Thanks @Peter Lewis thanks for prompt response. So, my scenario is suppose i goto related action "Edit Form" and see the relevant fields in editable mode, until i change some value in dropdown or radio button, i dont see this popup.
Yes, you can still navigate away if you have not made any edits. The goal with the poup is to prevent you from losing any work, but if you don't make any edits, then you don't lose any work. Is there a specific reason you want it to always show the popup?
Well, i already informed, but client still wants to see popup always if they toggle between Summary & Related Actions.
Yeah unfortunately I'm not aware of a work around, since this is part of the base platform functionality. Feel free to open a support case to surface this use case to the product team if this is important. Also if it is important, make sure to provide context in the support case on the impact this has on the customer.
