I have defined the visibility of site in such a way that if user is part of a given group and his status is approved in DB then only the site page will be visible to him.
We are facing challenge with one user who is neither part of the group n nor his status is approved in table is able to view the site page. what could be the possible reason for it..?

Yes..
It's currently an Appian behavior where Site visibility expressions are not evaluated for system administrators. I recommend opening a support ticket so they can further look into the bug and potentially provide a fix.
Hi Danny,Do you know if this behavior has changed in Appian? We just rolled out a fresh install of Appian 21.4 and deployed an application with a site page where even as a system administrator the site page DOES NOT display unless user is member of the group we are testing for in our visibility expression. We have other Appian 21.4 cloud environments which have been upgraded overtime where the page DOES display too so behavior is inconsistent. Also I have been looking for any Appian documentation which indicates system administrators user types override the visibility for references purposes but cant find any official reference to this behavior. Any idea if it is documented?

Yes, this has changed. As of 21.1, for new Appian customers Sites evaluate the visibility expression for system administrators. This change was only made going forward to preserve backwards compatibility. See release note:
