Hi, my users in Brasil wrote in local language "As informações" while in Appian (running 7.2) I see "As informa��es " (both in variables and in my DB).

Can you please check the followings:
1) Check your user language[Portuguese] is enabled.
System -> Internationalized Settings -> Enabled Languages
2) Check whether datasource/database encoding is set to UTF-8.
