We are planning to migrate Appian to cloud from on premise. Could I please get some pointers on what needs to be changed in the code, what's not available in cloud but is available on-prem, and other important details?

What version are you on? As Appian Cloud will be on the latest version you may need to consider the impact of upgrading versions along with the infrastructure migration.
Do you have any customizations to the base product? No customizations will be supported in Appian Cloud so you would need to have a plan to remove any customization as a part of your migration.
Do you have any plugins that aren't or can't be cloud approved? If you have plugins that aren't approved, you should run those through the process to get approved. If you have plugins that can't be approved, you will need to have a plan to remove them as a part of your migration.
Do you have integrations in place? Plan on getting your Appian Cloud environment configured to support your integrations (SSO, VPN, PrivateLink, etc).
