Good afternoon,
We are using the send file over node to put a file in an sftp.
But when we run it, it tells us this in the log:
com.appiancorp.suiteapi.process.exceptions.SmartServiceException: userMsg[error.sftp_conn=Error establishing SFTP connection. Confirm your hostname, username and password. See application server log for more details. Error Message: java.net.ConnectException: Connection timed out (Connection timed out)]
And it says that it is caused by

Does anyone know what may be failing or what we can check?
A greeting and thanks in advance

Hello, you able to resolve this issue ?
Good,
In our case, it was finally because the thirdParty was not properly created.
For this type of node I recommend you review what I always do:
1.That the thirdParty is created
2.That the url is good and the ports are open
3.Finally the folder is well created.
The configuration we have in the node is the following in case it can help you:
External System Key-->name thirdParty
Use Per User Credentials-->False
Server Hostname-->hostname
Server Port-->port
Remote File Path-->Path to store the document
SourceDocument-->Document generated
We have the rest of the fields empty, perhaps some of them will change depending on how you have configured the third party.
I hope this helps you.
All the best!
I'm getting a strange error 'No Such File', though I have file available in my Appian environment.
Error transferring file to SFTP server 2: No such fileHow you given the 'Remote File Path' ? my destination is F drive so I've simply given "F:\"Any thoughts ?
We mount the path with the path of the folder where we want to save and the document with its extension, for example:
concat("/test/",document( pv!document,"name"),".xml" )
Thanks Sandra, I tried following the same approach. But no luck. still the the same No Such File error.
concat("F:/",document( pv!document,"name"),".pdf" )
Hello girikumard,
The route that you are trying to set up seems a bit strange to me, I am not sure if you can directly access F: or you need to have an assigned route, we had what I told you /test/, let's see if any other colleague can help but I think that the problem is in the route.I would also verify that the document is generated correctly and remains in the process.
Thanks Sandra, you spotted it right !! Drive letters in path will not work in Appian. Rather than giving a drive letter, I configured default root path in SFTP server and provided the relative path in Appian and it worked.
Thank you for your support !
Great, I'm glad your problem was solved!
