Yes, before posting here i went through all the available tutorials and documents, but those didn't help me.... I have already go through this  https://docs.appian.com/suite/help/21.3/Grid_Tutorial.html#configure-selection-values i didn't get it..

Are we talking about grids? Dropdowns? Checkboxes?

I have grid in that enabled/included checkbox.. 

whenever i select the checkbox it has to select complete row and display only selected rows in grid and whenever i select child checkbox it has to select parent node checkbox also

[I have nodes in hierarchy parent, child, grandchild these nodes are in crapplimit cdt]   

ruleinput am using ri!crapplimit and to store selected values in ri!selectedlimit_id 

help me if you have idea

if you use a checkbox selectionStyle for your grid:
selectionValue and SelectionSaveInto needs to target at the same variable like:
local!selectedid_int.

selectionSaveInto: local!selectedid_int,
selectionValue:local!selectedid_int,

2.) what do you mean by "child checkbox". is it a second grid with child items?

Regardless of your actual use case, a grid saves the IDs of the selected row. This IDs must be passed inside a datasubset in the field identifiers. The parameter selectionValue must use these IDs to make the row selection work..

This is what the tutorial tries to explain.
