Can we use "window.FormAPI.setRequired" in JS in the event rule of the form, or do we need to have it in a function specified in a JS file? Every time when I try using "window.FormAPI.setRequired("FieldID", 0)", I am getting an error message. can you please help me on this? ...

By default this function is not available. However you can download the Advanced Form Utilities plugin to enable it:
