Get user name from user id

Hello All

Hopefully very easy question for you!

I have the User ID from the User Picker, I want to display in a separate field the User First Name and in another the User Last name.

How can I do that?

For example where user Id is: jonhs

something like .... toUser(johns.firstname) ??
