We have a requirement that in some cases non Appian users will upload the files which we would like to store in Appian knowledge center. These users will not able to see the files they uploaded or will not know any thing about Appian system at all.
Does Appian provide any API or mechanism, which can be called from a Java Application to achieve this functionality....

You could create a process that accepts a document encoded in base64 and publish it as a webservice.
