Is there a limit for the number of objects in an appian application ?
will there be performance decrement if the number of object is increased from 100 to 500 ?

There will be no limit for the number of objects in an Appian application. But best practices says to limit the number of nodes to increase the productivity of the application.
The performance of the application does not depend on the count of objects rather it depends on how the objects are configured. And to your first question, no, there isn't any limit.
Got it ,thanks
thanks
No limit, but in the past I found certain things really started dragging when a single app package grows to several thousand items. But that may have been improved somewhat in the last few major versions.
I agree, I usually try to limit to ~2000 objects to be able to manage application packages more easily. I would guess there is no obvious difference between 100 and 500.
One thing to keep in mind is that an application is really just a method to organize your objects - you could have a bunch of related objects spread across many different applications, which might actually make your deployments / organization a bit easier.
