Appian Community and Appian Academy are being upgraded. As a part of the upgrade, Appian Community is currently in read-only mode, and user registration is disabled until August 3. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but a more secure, stable, and performant Community experience is coming soon!
The new Appian Community launches August 3, followed by Appian Academy on August 7. During the migration, Appian Community Edition, Appian Academy, Documentation, Certifications, Instructor-led Customer Training, Partner Sales Training & Accreditation, and Forum (for Appian Partners and Customers only) will remain available.
Can you check if the task has been rejected by all assignees? And is it possible that the task can somehow be seen again on the system or gone for everyone else.

As far as I know, a task can always be seen in the Process Instance (by a user with permissions sufficient to see the process instance, etc), and then manually reassigned from there to basically any user. I don't think there's any systematic way to check what user(s) have rejected a task assignment, though.
AFAIK a task cannot be rejected by the last assigned person.
