In my applications no user can delete any file outside a process model which writes to an audit trail.
Can you explain your use case in more details?
Hi ,Here ,My use case is, whenever a user uploads a document, it will be saved in a folder (as expected) and the doc id will be written to a db table. Now when I am trying to retrieve those docs by docid (which will be passed by querying the db table) , I am getting an error "Document doesn't exist or deleted".
Now I want to understand if anyone manually deleted those documents (mistakenly) from Folder .As when I checked the documents in folder they were not present.
You can goto deletion.log in System logs. I have seen the logs captured by user deletion. However i'm not sure if the log would capture from process deletions.
Sample:
com.appiancorp.common.logging.DeleteLogger - Successful deletion of objects: id=<id>; types=Document; names=[<DocName>]; deleted by user=[<User>]
Is this a general problem or a bug in the application? Are these files really uploaded? I mean, is the form submitted?
I don't think It's general,I want to confirm the same. The files were uploaded and saved as well i have personally checked. But now when I am trying to access, They were not present. And will the deletion logs capture the logs if the docs were deleted by any process?
Could this be a different problem? Are you sure you store the correct ID to the database?
yes, The system has stored the correct Document Id in db.The only way I suspect is that someone might have deleted the documents from folder from designer or some PM.So, I would like to know , if there is any way to find if Any PM deleted those (using any process model) or anyone who deleted from any logs.If yes then how can i check that.
