Hi everyone,
I need to track my company distribution list (contact group) on outlook email.
It should work this way: Sombody sends an email to my distribution list. Receiving the email to my inbox is an action that triggers appian process with parameters extracted from that email. The distribution list that I need to monitor has company domain and it is not on appian cloud. I checked the Receive Message Event documentation but I am still not sure how to approach this task.
Thank you in advance,Marcin

What is the exact problem that you are facing? You don't know how to set up the Receive Message Event or you don't know how to forward an email to the Appian platform for triggering a process?
First of all, you need to ensure that your platform is able to receive external email messages. Check here what you (or the admin team) need to do in order to achieve that. Once you achieve that, you have to create an Email Rule (on your email server or application that manages the distribution list) that will forward that email to a specific email address that will start the process model that you want in Appian. The format of the email has to be like this:

Thank you Dimitris for your response, you are right, I did not determine my problem precisely.
I am using currently Appian Community Edition.I did not know how to set custom configurations in my appian environment to enable anonymous user access and to poll an email account. I contacted with appian support via email and got response that unfortunately, custom configurations are not currently supported by Appian Community Edition.
This does not require any custom config. Just try to send an email to you environment as Dimitris pointed out.

I am a little confused now. I would like to start a new instance of my process model. Acc. to documentation I should use this e-mail template: processmodeluuid<model_uuid>@subdomain.appiancloud.com
Let's assume that my: - Appian Community Edition site is: https:// jegl.appian.community/suite/sites/community-edition-home - process model uuid is: 1234
How to use this in practice, I mean how to create correct email address? What is my subdomain in my case? I tried to hit this in many variations like:- processmodeluuid1234@subdomain.appiancloud.com- processmodeluuid1234@jegl.appiancloud.com- processmodeluuid1234@jegl.appian.appiancloud.com- processmodeluuid1234@jegl.appian.community.appiancloud.comNothing works, each time I get from Mail Delivery System that "Undelivered Mail Returned to Sender"
Try the: processmodeluuid1234@jegl.appian.community. It will work fine.
Yes, it works now. Thank you again!
