Did you try to use "=" or "<>"?
Yes I have used ">"like this "12 Nov 2022" > "05 Nov 2022"
"now()" returns data in the DateTime data type - if you want to compare it against something else, you'll need to compare it against another DateTime value to get any meaningful result. The values you posted in your comment above won't evaluate to anything meaningful if you're just trying to compare two strings.
