Does custom.properties file have an entry for this property - "server.conf.exec.CHAINED_EXECUTION_NODE_LIMIT" by default? I am not able to see it. Am I missing something? Please help...

Not all properties appear in the custom.properties.example but they are all described in the Appian documentation including their default values. For this specific one the link is

In that link you will see that by default, this is set to 50 nodes.

Eduardo, will there be any adverse results if we increase this Chaining limit to a higher value like 100? Your input would be of help.

Also I don't see this property in the custom.properties file. Does that mean I should create this property there?

Unless you are testing significantly with exactly production size and load and have prior experience with the specific setting, I would not be changing default configurations.

I second Myles on the fact that you should work on redesigning the models instead of increasing default values. If a user submits a task that is chained through a large number of nodes they may think the system is slow or not responding which is not a good user experience.
