Hi,
We had our 7.4 application working fine on IE8 and Firefox. We migrated to 7.5 last week and since then we started getting following error in IE8:
"Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing you web browser to run slowly..." (Pls see attached screenshot).
It works fine in Firefox. We never faced this problem when we were on 7.4 Pls suggest. Majority of the Business users are on IE only....

Have you deployed the hotfix on 7.5?

After deploying the hotfix if the issue persists can you try running IE from the Run prompt as follows
iexplore -extoff
also try resetting your advanced settings from Internet Tools - Options -Advanced - Reset Advanced Settings.

Eduardo/Patty, we have done these
1) Updated to latest Hotfix for 7.5
2) iexplore -extoff
3) Reset Advanced Settings
Still the issue persists. To add more info, the page is the first of a series of 7 pages in a wizard. Page doesn't have any grids, but only simple controls like textbox and dropdowns.

Can you check the value of the "MaxScriptStatements" in the registry:
1. Start
2. Run prompt
3. regedit.exe
4. Find HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Styles
5. Double click on MaxScriptStatements, what's the value? (See attached example)

Hi Eduardo, we are also facing the same issue in IE8. All the above options have been tried including the registry check for MaxScriptStatements. The issue still persists. Please suggest.

Eduardo, the values are as below:
1) MaxScriptStatements in Hexa -> 4c4b40
2) MaxScriptStatements in Decimal -> 5000000

I am unable to reproduce this behavior with the default values which is what you have. What happens if you set MaxScriptStatements to 10000000. This test will be helpful to determine if that limit is being hit causing that pop-up since the only way I can reproduce is by lowering that value.

Eduardo, I tried setting MaxScriptStatements to 10000000. However the issue persists. One thing I noticed is that in IE8, there is a JS error that occurs which can be seen in the console but does not show up in IE9. Please see attached snapshot.
