Hi,
We had our 7.4 application working fine on IE8 and Firefox. We migrated to 7.5 last week and since then we started getting following error in IE8:
"Stop running this script? A script on this page is causing you web browser to run slowly..." (Pls see attached screenshot).
It works fine in Firefox. We never faced this problem when we were on 7.4 Pls suggest. Majority of the Business users are on IE only....

The error message on the bottom left corner can be disregarded and is not related to the pop-up you're seeing. Did you restart the machine or only IE after making that change?

I initially restarted IE only. Now after restarting the machine the error message does not show up. So the change in value for MaxScriptStatements seems to have solved the problem. Will this change in value have any negative effect? Thanks for your help!

Since this appears to be an Appian issue for IE8 will there be some hotfix provided some time later? Also since the change is made at the client side, it may be a bit inconvenient to ask every user to make this change. Please provide your thoughts on this. Thanks

Eduardo, changing the value to 10000000 worked! Thank you!
There are few critical points to be noted though:
1) Asking all our end-users to make this change is not possible.
2) More importantly, not all users have this Styles folder in HKEY_CURRENT_USER\\Software\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\ I checked 2 machines and it was present in 1 and absent in another.

Appian Technical Support is actively investigating an alternative solution for this. We agree the current work-around is not broadly viable.

Apian Technical Support is actively investigating an alternative solution for this. In the meantime remember that you should try to reboot the computer after making the change to the registry to confirm.

I am on IE8 and get this when I call a subprocess with too many parameters. I am trying to eliminate the number of parameters but still see the message. Should I allow the scriot to keep running? Do I risk losing info?
