Hi Team,
I have a requirement to send email outside our organization with an embedded link to either accept or reject the mail. Once the recipient receives the mail, he/she should click on the link which would open up a page for the user to either accept or reject the mail. This information then has to be passed back to Appian and the work-flow to be continued then.
This email response from user is time-bound. If within specified time the user does not respond then the default work-flow is to be followed.
We don't want to use a delay timer. We would like these processes to be asynchronous.
Can someone suggest me how to achieve this?

I suggest to cut this process into two. The first sends out the email and stores some data to DB to know what the system is waiting for. The second process is triggered by the incoming reply and checks the validity.
