Is there a way to set Logged in User time zone with out user intervention

I know self doable feature to select time zone or internationalization setting accros all profile. But if we have many users and do not want to communicate users to do setting on their own.

Is there a way to accomplish to do this.

May be LDAP sync kind of?

It's not possible to have zero user intervention AFAIK. At a minimum, you would still need to have a landing page the first time the user logs in. When the user presses on the button, you coule retrieve their locale from active directory (or some other source) and update their profile.

An easier way to do this is to have a landing page presented the first time they login where the user simply chooses their preferred language.
