Hello Everyone,
Does Appian allows the user to upload any password protected document into its cloud instance?
We have a requirement to upload the password protected file but when we try to do it through File Upload field or simply add it as a document within the application objects, it throws the following error:
"File could not be uploaded. Please try uploading it again"
Note: We do not have any restrictions applied in our Admin console in the "File Upload" section.
Thanks in Advance,
Nandini

What form of "password protected" is the document in question?
As far as I know, Appian has no way of knowing or judging whether a document has, for example, internal locking like a locked PDF or Excel file. I have no idea why you might be getting the "File could not be uploaded" message, unless you're trying to upload a file that you don't actually have OS-level access to, which would not concern Appian at all.
Hi Mike,
Thanks for the response, i'm trying to upload a simple locked PDF file (Ex: Salary slip) but the system does not allow me to. Also, there are no logs captured on this.
Thanks
I can upload password protected files on my instance and can save it in the target folder, there is absolutely no way Appian can determine if the file is protected or not. Are you able to upload normal files in the system?
