Hi,
I had an requirement to send a file over SFTP. To acheive that i had created key under third party credential in admin console(Remote server).
Using that specific key in send file over SFTP plugin. But getting below error.
Error establishing SFTP connection. Confirm your hostname, username and password. See application server log for more details. Error Message: Unable to retrieve credentials from SCS: This plug-in [com.appiancorp.a2.process.runtime.activities.sftp] is not registered to access secured values for the given external system key [sftp-credential]. Check the external systems plug-ins list in the Administration Console.
what could be the reason behind this error?
what does below error mean?
Error Message: Unable to retrieve credentials from SCS: This plug-in [com.appiancorp.a2.process.runtime.activities.sftp] is not registered to access secured values for the given external system key [sftp-credential].

The error message explains in detail what to do ...
I suggest you re-read all the options on the Third Party Credentials configuration screen.
We need to use private key for authentication & authorization here.
scs key seems to be dummy entry.
You need to create third party credentials via the admin console. You also need to grant access to the plugin to the 3rd party credential.
Sure, just go ahead and give away the entire plot
what if we need to use private key only in that SFTP smart service?

You would only pass the configured External System Key into the smart service in the particular process model(s) where you need it.
we are able to implement password less connectivity by using username without password(scs key) and private key
