Hi Team,
I am given a task to create users in Production. There is an account already existing in Production which I have to use as a mirror account. The mirror account is a part of lot of groups,
and I have to enter these users in each of them. Is there an easier way to do this? Since it is production environment, I cannot use any smart service directly without approval from higher mgmt.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Ritika

That "mirror account" idea is pretty common in SAP. Appian works differently and there is no built in way to replicate group membership from one user to another. You could create a small process to implement that.
Hello Ritika, You can try to create 2 process models, One parent process where can have a process variable with type as integer (Multiple) where you for the groups to be passed and then after the start node add a start process in which you can use the smart service add group members and you can add the users to the groups.
Thanks for the suggestion. I will definitely implement this in the lower environment.
Thanks for the suggestion!
You could use the a!groupsForUser() function to find the groups for the user you want to mirror. Then it's just a question of creating a process to Add Group Members to the groups.
