Hi Team,
When Appian is down for maintenance do what will happen to the processes?
Will they be queued or fail?

They will just continue. Nothing to worry about.
but we don't have track on instances in the monitor tab right?
Not sure what you mean !?!
Let's say, we have triggered a process model to update data to DB. Normally, we have instance available in monitor tab to validate.
Now, the site is down and how to check the triggered instances in the monitor tab?
I am confused. When Appian is down, there is nothing to monitor and the monitoring tab is also not available.
Feels like I am missing some important info. Do you want to enlighten me?
Sure, let's break this down
1. During Maintenance, all the regular schedule instances will trigger right?
2. After Maintenance activity, can we check the instances that got triggerd during that time?
1: Yes, they actually trigger after the system comes up.
2: Yes
So, they will be queued right?
My downtime was at 2 AM (2 to 4), which mean all the instances got triggered at that time will be triggered after the 4 AM
Yes, and no. While the system is down, nothing happens. Then, as the system comes back up, the defined timers evaluate and trigger zero or multiple times.
One thing to consider is that Appian cannot receive API requests during maintenance periods.
then we would miss the API requests right?
Correct.
Quoting myself: "While the system is down, nothing happens."
