Hi Experts
Is there any limit for the length of the name of any object.
For example: an object name could not be more than 27 characters, Is there anything like this ?
Thank you in advance

Hello Harsh11 ,
There is no such limit AFAIK. But its always a good practice to keep it minimal and understandable. You can check the standard object names for better understanding. Standard Object names
Thanks Konduru Chaitanya
This makes me sure that there is no much limit of 27 characters to name an object in appian
Hi
I tried with expression rule this is length limit for it : 500 Character
But as mentioned in the Appian documentation the name must follow Appian Standards
Thanks Komal Jain
Actually my concern is to find that there will be no limit of at most 27 characters for naming an object.
But your efforts help me to understand more.
27 characters used to be a limitation for table names for certain databases if I recall correctly. Shouldn't be a concern with modern databases though.

Thanks Mathieu Drouin , this is what I'm looking forThanks again
So, you meant database objects only, and not the other Appian design objects?
Actually, I meant to all the design objects but as everyone suggests that there is no such letters limit in naming of objects and there is only limitation in database objects and that so was in past, not nowadays
Hello harshw0876, There is a limit of 500 characters in Appian Object naming as well as Komal mentioned in the above reply. But I am sure that most of us will not reach that limit. hence the talking about best practice of Naming conventions.
Yes, I mark your words
Thanks
