We have process dashboard with 2 channels. In one channel we are displaying current tasks report for that process instance. In the second channel we are displaying the percentage completion of tasks in a progress bar. Our requirement is from the task report from the first channel user selects a task and completes the task then we want to update the progress bar in the second channel with latest completion percentage. How we can achieve this functionality? ...

Simply in your process update the process variable as soon as the user completes the task. And in the second channel apply the necessary logical expression function to calculate the progress based on the above updated process variable.
