Is is possible to publish a process model to asynch web services from Appian?

Is is possible to publish a process model to asynch web services from Appian?
I have a process model and published it into a web services and got the xml file. looking at the xml file, i see response and request node. Is there a way to make this Web Serice async? or are all appian web services are default to sync only?

Web services in general are synchronous, you will always get a response. In your web service client code, you could simply ignore the response.
The response will only be a process id, and kicking off a process should be very fast.
