Does anyone else have a jdbc connection in one of their cloud Appian environment

Does anyone else have a jdbc connection in one of their cloud Appian environments that connects to an Oracle 11g database?
Have you experienced any issues connecting?
We know that we are getting through on the port 3000 from our Appian cloud environment to our database server but the Oracle DB server is not accepting the connection....
