Can we directly write to database from interface, if yes. which is better to do it from process model or interface and why?

I would say saving your data from the Process is a better approach. In this way you will have a record of what has been done and also it would avoid adding any multiple entries of same data if not handled well on the interface level.

Yes we can directly write the smart service in interface but if user want to intract with subsequently form from frontend then it is difficult to do from interface so better we prefer use the smart service from process model right. 

We can use subsequently form from interface itself but as you said we need to aviod duplicacy appian prefer process model instead of interface right ?

Also It is something that I usually would want to implement, to avoid mishaps and also let the user have more idea that they have completed a task and their inputs have been received when you show a confirmation screen or the action completed message appears on the screen.

I think that it depends on the functionality that you want to implement. Sometimes will be better to using a PM and sometimes not..... but I iagree with Konduru Chaitanya , that save data from the process is a better approach (you have better control over the context)

 Yes , because i have implemented the same as you said based on the senerio...

But if someone ask you to understand the best way then i think here we need to go with process model itself to better interaction with users. as we discussed

A process model approach is better for a couple of reasons. 

1. It allows you to create a memory footprint. 
2. It promotes reusability
3. Lets you execute multiple smart services on a single action
4. Take care of the load balancing. 

I prefer the Process Model approach because it makes it easier to detect errors and troubleshoot.
