How do I monitor a process that has already completed? I knwo how to do it whent he instance is still open, but if it has closed I'm unable to search it and view what happened. Am I missing something?...

As long as the process instance has not been deleted or archived you can go to the process tab in the designer interface and click on that instance and then on the toolbar select "Monitor Process"
