Two days ago, one of our DEV environment went down. Upon checking the server status, we found that all services were stopped. We restarted the server, and it's been working fine since then. However, I'm keen to understand the root cause of the issue. I checked the Tomcat logs but couldn't find any relevant information. Could you please suggest how I can identify the cause of this? which log should i see ?

Check service-manager.log, and tomcat-stdout.log..... and the ones related to search-server and data.server... but I think the useful information you can find will be in the first two
