Bulk import documents from a legacy system

Good morning all,

Is there a way to import a number (approx 700) documents from a legacy system into Appian automatically either directly into the file storage area or via process model ?

Thanks but if only life were that simple -the documents need to be associated with separate records via the recordID and a matching document folder in Appian - so there will need to be some element of process - parsing a list of files and where to put them.

I have spotted an Upload File via FTP smart service - does anyone have experience with it? Can this be used to add files into Appian from an FTP server?
