Object displaying as protected while deployment.

Question

Hello Folks,

We are trying to deploy a Process HQ report to higher environments, but while doing it, we are seeing protected as status for the Process HQ Report Object, did any one faced this or have idea?

Please let me know as this is a high priority task. Appreciate your time & response!

Hi Varun Teja Gurrapu If the Process HQ report is modified in the target environment, it will be flagged as "Protected." You can override this default behavior for an individual object using the forceOverrideProtection parameters in an import customization file. Refer to this Deployment Guidelines - Appian 26.2

The Protected status for a Process HQ report object during deployment indicates it has been edited by business users in the target (higher) environment, preventing overwrites to preserve those changes.
To deploy anyway, use an import customization file with forceOverrideProtection set to true for the object.
