Recommend the most effective data migration strategies for transitioning from a legacy enterprise content management and workflow automation platform to appian.

Hi Community, 
 I'm looking for some best approaches, documentation if any for migration strategies. I would need info on below 2 scenarios: 
 1. Best practices/approach for migrating an application from other technology OnBase to Appian 
 2. Best practices/approach for migrating data in old application. 
 Quick pointer on above is much appreciated.

1) Understand the problems to be solved, and implement an Appian application in the style of Appian. Trying to copy a solution from another technology into Appian without adaption is a big risk. 
 2) Following the above recommendation, the new application and data model might be different than the old one. A typical database + file migration, including data model transformation, is what you are looking into.
