I developed an Appian Servlet plugin, it seems any Appian user for the Appian server can access this servlet. Can the servlet be protected by the group so only users from certain AD group can access?

You can do the validation in the code itself.

This way the invocation can still be done but the relevant code won't run since the same code will verify whether the user is entitled to run it or not.
