Is there any documentation available on Save data type. I don't see any reference to this on Data Type page - forum.appian.com/.../Data_Types.html

Do you mean the a!save function?

I see Save as a data type while creating a rule. Please refer to attached screenshot

I would check the product release docs to see if this has been deprecated. The hint text is referring to an old syntax model and I personally haven't used this since maybe 7.5 release
