Hi Forum
I am using Appian 7.2 (not using tempo)
I have a situation where a user updates a clients details (like the client name for example) in a client management process, which is then saved to the DB. There are also cases in the system where the client is referenced, and in turn there is a report to show all cases.
Please consider the following use case - If the user starts a case where "ABC" for example is the client name, then the case's process instance is then completed and shown on the report. Then the same client is edited through the client management process and the client name is changed to "DEF". This will obviously not update the client name value on the case report. How would I fix this issue?
I have thought of using send/receive messages for updating but these will not work with completed processes. Leaving every case process as active will surely cause huge overhead for the system. Any suggestions?

lincolnf I would like to suggest to bear in mind that Set pv and get pv misses Process History as mentioned in Features of the plugin - "but can bring concerns about target the target process' HIstory (who changed this PV? Why?)"
