iFrames are not supported in Appian.
Appian interfaces can be embedded in external sites, though.

Note.. Embedding Appian in external sites is performed with HTML5 Web Components.. not iFrames..

Thanks - my question was more along the lines of if Tempo, apps portal, or the designer view use iFrames to render their respective UIs.

apps portal has a embedding a web page portlet that uses iFrames..
Tempo and SAIL based interfaces do not use iFrames in any way..
