Hi, we're planning for the migration to 7.9. One of the cool features is the application container centric development environment. I've just checked the STAR Methodology Basic Application Assembly Procedure which still refers to creating separate containers for All Contents, CDT's etc.

Is this still valid or do the enhanced dependency checkers take care of the issues we currently have on application import particularly in relation to CDT's. i.e. can I just deploy the application container for the initial release and use single patches containing disparate artefacts subsequently?

This is a great question. Looking forward to seeing the Appian response.
I expect that there will still be dependencies on the orders that items are imported - The groups need to be in place in order to set permissions properly, etc. Does that imply we end up with CDT patch, nav patch, all contents patch with every app release?
