This question may not be in the correct section, and if so, please do correct me, but here it goes:
Is there an out-of-the-box (or even plugin) function where I can check an application version?
By that, I mean, is it possible to check what version of Appian an application was made in?

What do you mean by "made in". Like the application itself? The last time an object was added? The first time an object was added?

Sorry for the misunderstanding, but I meant what version of Appian was the application originally (the objects of the app if not the entire application that encompasses those objects) created in?

Are you looking for Application build compatibility on the target system as application build from higher version can not deployed on lower version of Appian

Hi Reginald, One way to know is - when you export the pacakge, the zip file will contain a file MANIFEST.MF this will have below three entries:
Manifest-Version: 1.0
Created-On: 2015-06-29T20:56:19.478Z
Appian-Version: 7.7.0.0

To be clear this number is the version the app was exported from only. This is NOT the version the objects in the app were created in.
