Question on "Send and Receive Message" Node
Can we add mappings to inflight instances?
I am trying to add a following property on the Receive Message Node event under data tab but it is not receiving the message from SendNode defined in different PM.
'msg!properties'.'dtFirstTradeDate'
We want user to update the date from Related Action but it is not happening due to the missing properties. And when I added it has same result. Please advise what we can do under this situation.

You may be able to use the process upgrade smart service? It's part of a shared component available in the records.
I haven't used that one personally but I assume you can build a new process, target certain running processes and then you will have that new process model as the running one.
Perhaps someone who has used it could better advise on how to use it but if you can find the shared component give it a test.

For sending message, you need to put the send message event into the process model and put this new created process model as a sub process in the process which will send the message. Change the assignment of the sub process node to "Run as Designer".

It is good practice to put the receiving message event into sub process, then you can test the sending and receiving message easily.
With using sub process, it will be easier for you to change inflight instances or upgrade process.
