I've tried my own way of making the pickerFieldCustom() function work and then I switched to using example given here.

forum.appian.com/.../SAIL_Recipes.html

However, results are still not shown when I type anything in the pickerFieldCustom() component.

Any suggestions on what should be done differently?

Hi reginaldm, i suggest you to the check the variables creation order and type of variables declared in the rules. I have tried the same code but it is working fine. It would be great if u attach your code for figuring out issue.
