I've tried my own way of making the pickerFieldCustom() function work and then I switched to using example given here.

forum.appian.com/.../SAIL_Recipes.html

However, results are still not shown when I type anything in the pickerFieldCustom() component.

Any suggestions on what should be done differently?

Hi reginaldm, after going through the snapshots which you provided i think your configuring the picker component including the load in section or form layout.

In that case, there is a mismatch in the closing parenthesis but it will does show the error even if there are additional closing parenthesis.
I have attached the code according to the rules which you are configured for picker. Please go through that and hope it would resolve your issue.
