We have given Process Administrator Rights to a group of Basic Users to CANCEL, PAUSE, RESUME and DELETE Process Instances for a particular Process Model. We have also made sure that the security is in the Process Model itself. The problem is, whenever a user wants to CANCEL, DELETE or PAUSE a Process Instance, he gets this message now "You do not have sufficient privileges to perform the requested action.". Any suggestions or workaround on this?
TIA....

An alternate approach to what you are trying to do, could be to use the Process and Task utility smart services available in the Shared Components section. You can use these smart services to build a process (or use them within process) that can manage specific actions.

To delete process instances, you have to use Process Management Smart Services in the Shared Components.

to accomplish this, i still have to create process model for deleting process instance right?i saw in a thread that the above scenario is working before, but i'm just wondering why it won't work this time.

Jessica - if you want to give those users rights to cancel, delete, pause processes through the interface, then making them Process Administrators is the correct approach.
2 things to check:
-as a process admin, navigate to the Process Details for a running instance in Designer mode, and click "security." Verify that the specific instance has the admins you want.
-did the users log out and back in after being given updated permissions ? If they were added to a group with that privilege, the change won't take effect until a logout/login.

We have the same problem. Even though we have given Process Admin Rights to Users, they still cannot do so unless we give them System Admin Rights. Any reason why?
We still face this issue with Appian 6.6.1 and we are using LDAP With Usernames Sync Plugin too.
Initially, it was working fine. But now it does not. Any reason why?
I believe, jessica also posted on my post for the same reason?

@elizabeth i already checked it and the user already has the sysadmin rights for that process model and instance, but still after logging in and out he can't still able to delete processes. @aneeshv yes,i also commented on your post regarding this.
I hope this can be solved. Thanks.

I already did a workaround on this as suggested by siva,.but it would be nice if the above scenario of deleting processes on reports by basic users (with sysadmin rights in a certain process model) would work.

We are on version 6.6.1 and it was working before but stopping working now.
Again this is a Basic User with Process Admin Rights to that particular Process Model.

Jessica and/or Aneesh - do you have access to submit support requests? If so you could log this and hopefully include a simple application reproducing the problem. Otherwise I'll submit one.
