Welcome to Appian.

As you are new to appian, you can do the following things to get familiar with appian

1) Just learn basic SAIL components from forum and try to implement few
2) Try to design few SAIL forms which will take input and gives output
3) Now take a small use case and design process model and SAIL forms. You can also use grids in your forms
4) Debug the flow and also you can observe process model properties
5) Once you are slightly familiar, try to go through sail recipes and implement the same

Login to Appian Academy and you will find many online courses. All the courses will be helpful.
