I am trying to tag a Record to a News post. I have used a record constant and a id field for identifier. This is the expression I used "=a!toRecordIdentifier(cons!PCT_RECORDTYPE_PVA,pv!newPVA.id)". I have already made sure that id is passing correctly and also tested the rule in expression editor. It is working fine there but I don't see any record tags attached to New Post this node is created. Has any one encountered this issue before? Or Do any of know a way to correct this?

May not be the case here, but in some situations (e.g. Service Backed Records), wrapping the identifier in tostring() fixes the issue of a missing record link.
=a!toRecordIdentifier(cons!PCT_RECORDTYPE_PVA,tostring(pv!newPVA.id))

One other idea: can you try wrapping the whole thing in braces? {a!toRecordIdentifier(cons!PCT_RECORDTYPE_PVA,pv!newPVA.id)}

@tanmayareddyn Would you be able to test the same by just replacing the pv!newPVA.id with a hard coded value and do let us know if you are able to see the record tag?
Also did you ensure that the pv!newPVA.id is populated with a valid value?
As said by @csteward, some times casting also resolves the issue. It might be worth trying what he has said.

@tanmayareddyn241 Were you able to find a solution to this? I am on Appian 16.1 and having trouble getting the record tag to show up on the news feed. When I use the same recordType constant and identifier in a SAIL linkField, it works fine, but for some reason, the record tag is not showing up. I checked all permissions and even recreated all objects involved with no luck. I have attempted all tips presented here as well. Any help would be appreciated.

Just realized what I missed. I didn't have a Record Title set in the RecordType since I was using the new grid list style. Hope this helps anyone running into this issue in the future.

Can you provide a little more detail on how you solved it, since I am still trying to find solution?

I'm not sure if this is the same issue you are having (are you on Appian 16.1?), but basically just go into the Record Type Designer for the recordtype you are trying to create the tag for, and go down to the section labeled "Record View Details". Make sure you have a value set for the "Record Title" field. If you don't have anything set here, then the Record Tag gets created but isn't able to be displayed on the News Feed because it has no label. Hope that helps.

Thank you Jitendrap. That was my issue as well. After setting the record title, the link started working. Thank you so much for the help.

Hi Jitendra, I am following the same scenario, grid view in expression backed record. I have the link visible in news feed, but its showing same record title for all records. Can you please let me where can it go wrong.
