We have an Appian application with a SSO layer connected for authentication. However sometimes when we try to navigate to Appian tempo from a webmail or from an external source through a link, once in a while the blue screen of Appian comes up and then nothing happens. This behavior is frequent if the email and my target environment are opened side by side. Sometimes on a screen refresh the screen loads.
Can you provide some inputs as to why this might be happening. Is the SSO layer the culprit here ?

You will need to review the application server logs for more details. If you don't see any errors, try increasing the logging level for the following loggers:
log4j.logger.com.appiancorp.security
log4j.logger.org.springframework.security
